(FORT FRANCES, ON.) – The Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has completed an investigation into a report of theft of prescription medication from the Atikokan General Hospital pharmacy.
The investigation commenced on April 5, 2012 when hospital administration notified police of the missing medication. Local detachment members in conjunction with the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit determined a hospital staff member was responsible for the theft.
Cynthia Carolyn KING, age 39 years of Atikokan, ON has been criminally charged with Theft under $5000 and Criminal Breach of Trust. She was released from police custody and will appear in Atikokan Provincial Court on December 12, 2013.
