(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 27, 2014 at approximately 10:36 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Brock Road near Cockburn Road in Puslinch Township.
Police investigated the driver of a 2013 Dodge pick-up that entered into the check point and immediately detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana emanating from the motor vehicle. Officers seized a clear baggy that contained a green leafy substance believed to be bud marihuana.
Jacob MCKINLEY age 35 of Guelph has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 23, 2015 to answer to the charge.
