(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On Monday, May 2nd, 2016, around 8:00 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region Highway Enforcement Team and Chatham-Kent Detachment assisted Elgin OPP with a high risk takedown, of a stolen vehicle on Highway 401 near Kent Bridge Road.
A check of the male driver revealed he was in contravention of several conditions, which included not having contact with the female passenger. Upon his arrest, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marihuana was seized.
Kristopher McINTYRE, 36-year-old from Kitchener, ON is charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000 (2 counts)
Mischief over $5000
Possession of Identity Documents (3 counts)
Possession of a controlled substance (2 counts)
Fail to comply with a Recognizance (10 counts)
Fail to comply with a Probation Order (2 count)
Drive with no licence
Also charged is, Victoria HECKLEY, 24-year-old from Windsor, ON is charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
Fail to comply with a Recognizance (8 counts)
Fail to comply with a Probation Order
Possession of Identity Documents (2 counts)
Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000 (2 counts)
Possession of a controlled substance (2 counts)
Both are being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas, ON.
