(South Stormont) – On April 29, 2016 at approximately 10:18pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on County Road 14, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver had lost control and struck a tree. It was also revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Kane HANNA (20) of North Stormont Township is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries and summonsed to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May 19, 2016.
(South Dundas) – On April 30, 2016 at approximately 6:11pm, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a vehicle on County Road 8, South Dundas Township. The stop revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of Alcohol. Police also seized a quantity of suspected marihuana.
Nicholas WHEELER (27) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 7, 2016.
PUBLIC MISCHIEF
(North Glengarry) – On May 1, 2016 at approximately 12:53am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an emergency at a residence on Kenyon Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed that the adult female occupant had falsely called 9-1-1.
Deborah JAMES (62) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Public Mischief
She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 6, 2016.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Glengarry) – On May 1, 2016 at approximately 7:46pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Paragon Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had attended the residence in contravention of non-communication conditions imposed from previous incidents.
The 31-year-old from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Undertaking (2 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
