(MASSEY, ON)- On May 15, 2016, members of the Espanola Ontario Provincial Police established a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) initiative River road in the town of Massey.
At approximately 11:00 am, officers had occasion to check a vehicle occupied by a male driver who stopped at the R.I.D.E. program.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was not insured and that the validation sticker was expired.
The driver, Harry DAVIDSON, 49 years of age from Massey, was charged with the following:
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner, contrary to section 11(2) of the Highway Traffic Act.
Use plate not in accordance with Act, contrary to section 12(1)(1)(f) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola, on June 30, 2016, to answer to his charges.
