(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On April 23, 2016, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an incident of a break, enter, and theft.
In the early morning hours of April 22, 2016, a male suspect attended a rural property on Coltsfoot Drive. Once on the property, he trespassed, and accessed the interior of an outbuilding, where he began to attempt to steal assorted items.
The thief was interrupted and physically apprehended by the homeowner, who recovered the stolen property.
Police were subsequently contacted, and as a result of the investigation, the 31-year-old male was arrested without incident on April 27, 2016.
Thomas ST. DENIS, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario, has been charged with break, enter a place – commit indictable offence, and assault with intent to resist, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was held in custody and has since been released. He is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on May 26, 2016.
