(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On June 3, 2015 at approximately 8:45 p.m., an officer from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was conducting radar enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Wellington Street, Guelph. A female driving a Mazda was observed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 125 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Georgina RAMSAY age 39 of Milton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 15, 2015 to answer the charge.
