(North Dundas) – On June 4, 2015 at approximately 1:34pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Boyne Road, North Dundas Township.
A Ford passenger vehicle, driven by an adult male was westbound when, for reasons under investigation, the vehicle collided head-on with an eastbound dump truck, driven by a 61-year-old male from South Dundas. The male in the vehicle was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries; he was taken to hospital also. The name of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
A section of Boyne Road, between Belanger Road and Kittle Road is closed to traffic which will remain in effect for several hours as SD&G OPP officers assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) continue the investigation. Emergency detours route are in place.
