(Selwyn Township ON) – On Saturday, December 28, 2013 at approximately 1000 p.m. officers from the Peterborough County OPP Detachment were called to a Red Pine Line residence in Bridgenorth in response to a domestic incident complaint.
Upon arriving officers were advised that an argument had occurred at the residence between the couple at the residence. An investigation revealed that a 50 year old male and a 38 year old female live together at the residence in a domestic relationship. Earlier in the evening the two had become involved in a verbal disagreement that became a physical confrontation.
As a result of the confrontation it was reported that the female had armed herself with a weapon and had threatened the male. As a result Police had been called to the residence.
As a result of the investigation a 38 year old female resident of Bridgenorth was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The suspect was held for a Bail Hearing scheduled for December 30, 2013 in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
