(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit and investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office (OFM) have now concluded their investigation into a fatal house fire in The Blue Mountains.
On the 17th of December 2014 shortly after 1:00 pm, OPP officers along with The Blue Mountains Fire Department were called to a house fire on the 18th Side Road near the 10th Line. Investigation led to the discovery of a body within the burnt remains of the house.
A post mortem has now been performed and investigators are working on notification of next of kin. Investigators with the OFM have not been able to determine a cause for the fire however no foul play is suspected.
