(Douro Dummer Township, ON) – On Monday December 9, at approximately 1:00 p-.m. members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a missing person from a residence on 6th Line.
Officers were advised that Eric KERR a 42 year old Douro Dummer resident, had left his residence in the early morning hours on a three wheeled ATV to go to his home in the McCrackens Landing area.
The male never arrived at his home address and the OPP initiated a search of the area utilizing members of the Peterborough County OPP and Emergency Response Team (ERT).
The male was located near Hamilton Drive where his ATV had left the roadway. The driver had been thrown from the ATV. He had succumbed to injuries received as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
