(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On February 10, 2014 Drug Enforcement Officers of the Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an Algonquin Street residence in Thunder Bay. Wayne ALENKO (66 years of age) of Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with Possession of Oxycodone and Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000. Beverly MEEKIS (34 years of age) of Thunder Bay was also charged with Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000.
Police investigators seized a total of 391 Oxycodone 5 mgs pills with a street value of $4700, 2.5 pounds of Marihuana with a street value of $23,000 and $755 in Canadian Currency.
The Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau consists of members from The Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The Thunder Bay City Police, The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
