(Hawkesbury, ON) On April 8th, 2015, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Hawkesbury Community Drug Action Team, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Hawkesbury Crime Unit executed a Search Warrant in the town of Hawkesbury, resulting in the seizure of crack cocaine, hydromorphone and stolen property.
Denis VERNIER (46 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged with the following:
· Production of a substance in Schedule I (Crack Cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking C.D.S.A. Section 7(1)
· Traffick a Schedule I substance (Hydromorphone) C.D.S.A. 5(1)
· Traffick a Schedule I substance (Crack Cocaine) C.D.S.A 5(1)
· Possession of property obtained by crime under 5,000$ C.C.C. 354(1)(a)
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, L’Orignal, on May 7th 2015.
