DRIVING WHILE UNDER SUSPENSION AND WITHOUT INSURANCE

(East-Hawkesbury, ON) – A speeding 2008 Pontiac G6 was stopped by Constable Mario Bourgeois on Highway 417 on October 15th shortly before 4pm in East-Hawkesbury.

The traffic stop revealed that the vehicle had no insurance and that the driver was suspended driver’s licence.

Mamadou Oury DIALLO (29 yrs) of Gatineau was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with section HTA 53(1) Driving while under suspension.

He was also charged under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act section 2(1)(a) Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance.

The set minimum fine for driving without insurance is $5000.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on November 14th.
