(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged a 36 year old man with numerous Criminal Code offences after investigating a flight from police incident at a Hwy #3, Cayuga, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Friday March 7th, 2014 at approximately 9:50 pm an officer attempted to check a suspicious black 2006 Ford car at a Talbot St, Cayuga, Haldimand County, ON address. The vehicle failed to stop at the officer’s direction and fled the area travelling westbound on Hwy #3. The suspect vehicle was followed and was eventually stopped at a Hwy #3 and County Road #53 address after a tire deflation device was successfully deployed.
Charged with Impaired Driving, Driving over the Legal Limit of Alcohol, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Flight from Police and 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order is 36 year old Cyril CIBULIS of Hamilton, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
