Stolen Tow Truck And Sunfire Recovered – Daniel YORKE Charged

(HOWICK, ON) – Two males are facing criminal charges following arrests made by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Police investigation led officers to a Fordwich Line residence where officers located and recovered a 2003 Ford F-350 tow truck that had been stolen from a Mt. Forest business. In addition, officers also recovered a stolen 1998 Pontiac Sunfire that had been reported stolen from Grey County.

Officers arrested two males at the Fordwich property for Possession of Stolen Property and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

46 year old Vernon WARD, from Howick has been charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000 and one count of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for April 10, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham.

31 year old Daniel YORKE from Palmerston has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000, Theft of a Motor Vehicle Over $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. He remains in custody with a video court appearance scheduled for March 17, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich
