(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 29, 2014 at approximately 7:03 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) initiated a R.I.D.E. program on Wellington Road 35, Puslinch Township.
Officers investigated a 2001 Hyundai that pulled into a private driveway nearby and spoke with the male driver. It was discovered that he had consumed alcohol and a roadside screening test was administered which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and during the search of the vehicle a handgun was located under the driver’s seat and a loaded magazine in the centre consul.
Craig SNIVELY age 43 of Cambridge has been charged with Over 80 and Transport Firearm and Ammunition in a Careless Manner contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 26, 2014 to answer to the charges.
