COLLISION INVESTIGATION IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 26 in The Blue Mountains this morning.

OPP officers and paramedics were dispatched to the collision shortly after 7:00am this morning on Highway 26 at The Blue Mountains Meaford Town Line in The Blue Mountains. Police investigation found that a pick up truck going north on the Town Line could not stop at the intersection due to icy road conditions and collided with an east bound vehicle on Highway 26.

The collision closed one lane of traffic on Highway 26 for a short period of time and both drivers were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
