UPDATE: On the 30th of December, 2015, Almaguin Highlands OPP uniform and crime members arrested and charged a male in connection with this incident.
Dylan ARMSTRONG, 35, of Burk’s Falls, Ontario is charged with Robbery with a Weapon, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. Also charged on December 31st, 2015 is Jason McDONALD, 40, of Burk’s Falls. Mr. McDONALD was already in custody on other matters. Both men are awaiting bail hearings.
The Almaguin Highlands O.P.P. continues to seek information from the public in regards to this incident.
OPP INVESTIGATE ROBBERY
(PERRY TWP, ON) – The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) including their Criminal Investigation Unit is currently investigating a robbery that occurred on Wednesday September 30, 2015 shortly after 1:00 p.m. at the Kawartha Credit Union in Emsdale, Ontario.
Almaguin Highlands officers with the assistance of North East Region Emergency Response Units, Canine and Forensic Identification Services are continuing to investigate.
