(ESPANOLA, ON) – At 7:28 p.m., on January 15, 2016, members from the Espanola Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle personal injury motor vehicle collision on Highway 17, Salter Township, east of the town of Walford.
A pickup truck travelling westbound crossed the centre line and collided with an oncoming eastbound passenger car.
Investigation revealed that the female driver of the pickup truck was driving while under suspension.
The female driver and female passenger of the passenger car were transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with non-life threatening injuries.
Chantelle LALONDE, 32 years of age, from Chelmsford, was charged with the following offences:
Careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola, on February 11, 2016.
