CALEDON OPP SUPPORTS THE SWEET LIFE ROAD SHOW

(CALEDON, ON) – The “Sweet Life Road Show” raises awareness about the deadliest road safety risks and helps teens create strategies to protect themselves. Sponsored by the Ministry of Transportation and delivered by Teens Learn to Drive Inc., the show will engage students from Caledon on the dangers of risky behaviors while operating a motor vehicle.

The full day event for Grade 10 students focuses on the top 10 causes of teen driver crashes. Key messaging includes drinking and driving, seatbelts and airbags, graduated drivers’ licence system and sharing the road with trucks. Students will have the opportunity to use hands-on games and driving simulators to convince them of the impact of driving while distracted.

Organizer, Anne-Marie Hayes, President of Teens Learn to Drive Inc. “Crashes are the number one cause of death and injury to teens and young adults. They are preventable. We can change this.”
