(TOWNSHIP OF NORTHEASTERN MANITOULIN AND THE ISLANDS, ON) – On November 22, 2016, a member of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 540, at the Township of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands, Ontario. The driver of the automobile was found to be prohibited from driving anywhere in Canada as a result of a previous Criminal Code conviction.
As a result of this investigation, Arthur Neil WRIGHT, age 74 of Gore Bay, Ontario has been charged with driving while disqualified by court order, contrary to section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on December 20, 2016.
