(North Kawartha Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with emergency crews were called to the boat ramp near Fire Route 62 off of Anstruther Lake Road, yesterday shortly before 1:00pm, for a vehicle in the water.
Today, OPP members from the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) assisted in the removal of the car from the lake. Inside the vehicle, police discovered the body of a deceased person. Members of the Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit are assisting the Coroner with the investigation.
