(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Friday September 27, 2013 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed at Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on a residence in Hamilton Township where eight people present were arrested and charged.
Northumberland OPP assisted the Central Region Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) members at the Burnham Street North residence to execute the warrant where officers found marihuana in various production stages in two separate buildings on the property. Four adult males and four adult females were arrested by police on scene.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $274,000.
John Alfred William FREDERICKSON, 59; Sharon FREDERICKSON, 57; Blair STOKES, 46; Amanda STOKES, 24; Joshua STOKES, 22, all from Hamilton Township and Courtney BONTER, 20 from Colborne, Ontario have been charged with production of cannabis marihuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking over 3 kilograms under the CDSA.
Maria STOKES, 45 from Hamilton Township, Ontario has been charged with production of cannabis marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking over 3 kilograms under the CDSA and possession of property obtained by crime under the Criminal Code.
All seven accused have been released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 9:30 am.
Robert George FREDERICKSON, 52 also from Hamilton Township has been charged with production of cannabis marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking over 3 kilograms under the CDSA. The accused was held for bail on these charges and remanded into custody to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 1:30 pm.
