(QUINTE WEST, ON) On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at approximately 2:45pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence on Old Highway 2 to conduct an investigation into an assault complaint.
During the investigation a 17 year old male attempted to leave the residence through a window. He sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. The male was transported to hospital by ambulance.
The province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) was notified by the OPP and has invoked its mandate. Any further inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at 416-622-2342
