$120,000 Tool Theft

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County detachment is investigating the theft of a large quantity of tools from a Hutchinson Road, Haldimand County, ON address.

During the early morning hours of Sunday January 12th, 2014 Haldimand County Fire Department and Police responded to a vehicle fire at an Indiana Road, Haldimand County, ON address. Upon arrival fire and police officials located a white 2009 GMC van fully engulfed fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed.

Upon closer inspection it was discovered that the van was a MATCO Tool van which had been stolen from a Hutchinson Road, Dunnville address. The van contained $120,000 dollars, worth of Automotive Technician tools which appeared to have been stolen from the van prior to the fire.
