(Collingwood, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (Project “Pâ€Â) and the Collingwood OPP have arrested and charged a Collingwood man following a four week internet luring investigation.
On December 20, 2013 a Collingwood man attended at a local establishment where he thought he was to meet with a 15 year old girl. Instead, he was met by plainclothes officers and subsequently arrested without incident.
On December 20, 2013, police arrested Christopher GORDON, 37 years old of Collingwood, Ontario and charged him with two counts of Luring a Child on the Internet.
On December 20, 2013 the O.P.P. Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the Collingwood OPP executed a search warrant at a Collingwood residence. As a result of this investigation, nine computer devices were seized and are pending forensic analysis.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on January 21, 2014, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
