(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an impaired driver at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.
On April 11, 2024, members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE checkpoint on 1st Avenue South in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. At approximately 11:07 p.m., police stopped a vehicle to check the sobriety of the driver. The investigating officer administered a roadside approved screening device (ASD) test, registering a fail. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.
Tyler Williams, 56-years-old, from the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
