Youths Throwing Debris At Vehicles Get Charged

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant Detachment were called to attend Grand River Street North in Paris in response to debris being thrown at passing vehicles on June 25 2015 at 2:00am.

Police attended and located 3 youths on the railway bridge. No vehicles were damaged and the youths were charged for trespassing under the Railway safety act.

The County of Brant OPP would like to remind the public that the railway tracks are a very unsafe location to be. Trains use the tracks frequently and they travel very fast and cannot stop as quickly as an automobile.

Please remind your children that no one should walk on the railway tracks and when crossing them they need to stop look and listen.
