On the 30th of September 2014 just before 10:30am Owen Sound Police were dispatched the Professional Building parking lot, situated at 945 3rd Avenue East, Owen Sound with respect to a motor vehicle collision between a pickup truck and a pedestrian.
The 69 year old male pedestrian had been walking westbound through the parking lot, along a fence surrounding the construction area, when he was struck from behind by the side mirror of a pickup truck. He was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
The female driver displayed signs of impairment and as a result was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle (by Drugs). The 44 year old Owen Sound woman will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on October 23rd, 2014 to answer to the charge.
