Break , Enter & Theft – Beef, Copper Wire, etc – Vanastra

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred a storage shop located on Crescent Line in Vanastra sometime between September 20, 2014 and September 27, 2014. Police believe the suspects used a vehicle to reverse into an exterior sliding door. Once the door was damaged they forced their way into the building and stole a variety of items.

The stolen items include:

$500 in packaged frozen beef cuts. Approximately 70 packages.
300 pounds of large gauge copper wire.
An older model Viking 9 horsepower outboard boat motor.
Four winter tires, size 255 60R19
Four, GMC Acadia 5 spoke brushed aluminum rims.

The combined value of the stolen goods and damage to the building is believed to be approximately $3200.
