Woman Late For Swimming Lessons Caught Going 134 On Clyde Line – Vehicle Impounded

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – A driver that was running late for her children’s swimming lessons will now be making a trip to court later this fall to face a charge of Racing. At approximately 12:49 p.m. on September 25, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a GMC Yukon travelling northbound on Clyde Line at a high rate of speed. The officer paced the speeding vehicle for a short distance and then was able to take a speed measurement with a RADAR device. The speed of the Yukon was locked at 134 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver was subsequently stopped on Clyde Line just south of Bluevale.

Andrea VAN NES, 38 years of age, from Huron East has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. She has a scheduled court appearance on November 13, 2015 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. Her licence has been suspended for a seven days and her vehicle will be impounded for the week.
