17 Year Old Repeat Offender Caught With Drugs And Alcohol

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Bluewater youth has been charged with several criminal charges after he was found in possession of marihuana this past weekend. Just before 3:00 a.m. on September 27, 2015 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a motor vehicle on Hydro Line near Division Line. Upon speaking with the occupants in the vehicle the officer detected the smell of marihuana coming from inside the sedan. Upon speaking with the occupants a teenager in the backseat admitted he was in possession of a small quantity of marihuana. The passenger was placed under arrest and subsequently searched. In addition to the marihuana the youth was in possession of two partial bottles of liquor.

Officers also learned the male was currently serving a probation sentence and had outstanding charges. The male was taken into custody and processed.

A 17-year-old resident of Bluewater has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana), Fail to Comply with an Undertaking and six counts of Fail to Comply with a Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) Sentence. He was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for Youth Court of Justice – Goderich on October 8, 2015.
