(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, August 9th, 2013 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a break and enter which occurred at a Bolton business location. Investigation revealed that accused’s had entered the property and caused damage to a crane upon removal of wiring. The damage to the crane is estimated at over $7000. The wiring from the crane was then concealed under a sheet of plywood at the rear of the property. Shortly after midnight on August 11th, members from the Caledon OPP Street Crime Unit located the suspect vehicle at the property. Members from the Street Crime Unit stopped the motor vehicle and located a large amount of wiring.
As a result of the investigation, Kyle Kenneth Ortenzo McNEILL, 27, and Athena CHOLODNY, 34, of Orangeville were arrested and charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Mischief Over $5,000.
The accused male was held in custody and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on August 11th, 2013. The accused female was released to appear in court on September 26, 2013.
