At the 02Aug2016 NH council meeting reeve neil vincent ordered the removal of a member of the Public/Press gallery that had a dead camera around his neck. Neil vincent ordered Constable Verhaeghe to remove Mr. ? on suspicion he may violate their procedural by-law in the future by recording council when the are in session.
Facts:
Mr. ? did not have a functional camera, and couldn’t record if he wanted.
Mr. ? did not violate their procedural bylaw.
Mr. ? was silent and peaceful.
Mr. ? was forced to leave the Public/Press Gallery under threat of arrest/criminal charges.
Mr. ? spoke respectfully when spoken to, while vincent started yelling.
At least three members of the Public/Press Gallery were escorted out despite breaking no laws or by-laws at 02Aug meeting. A member of Wingham Cop Watch is one those that got kicked out for not breaking any laws.
