William Thyssen – Speeding, Drunk Driving, Fail To Stop, Drive While Disqualified, No Insurance

(MORRIS TURNBERRY, ON) – On April 7, 2011 at approximately 9:00 pm, a Huron OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling on Morris Line at a very high rate of speed. The officer activated his emergency lights but the suspect vehicle did not stop. After a short while, the vehicle stopped in a private driveway where the officer then made contact with the driver.

After the driver was being arrested for Fail to Stop for Police, the officer determined that the driver was also impaired by alcohol. The driver was taken to the Huron OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. The results confirmed that the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
