(Essa Township, ON) On the 29th of September 2014, at 2:30 a.m. a concerned citizen dialed “911†to report an erratic driver on Innisfil Beach Road, travelling westbound into Thornton.
Officers from the Nottawasaga OPP were able to locate the vehicle in Thornton, and investigate the driver. It was determined that the male 74-year old driver, William LARSEN of Etobicoke was impaired by alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Impaired Driving contrary to Section 253 (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was further charged with, Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to Section 254(5) of the Criminal Code of Canada. His vehicle was impounded for 7-days and his licence was suspended for 90-days. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on the 16th of October 2014 to answer to his charge.
