(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male with drinking and driving offences as a result of a motor vehicle collision in Collingwood.
On the 23rd of August 2015 at approximately 4:30pm, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a parked minivan at a parking lot on Hurontario Street near Third Street. Witnesses were reporting that the driver was possibly impaired which was confirmed by police interactions with the male driver. He was arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 54 year-old William KITCHENER from Collingwood, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 8th of September 2015.
