(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On August 20, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in the area of Vanneck Road and Egremont Drive.
The officer observed a black Toyota pick-up truck and initiated a traffic stop.
The officer determined that the 29-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to an OPP detachment for breath tests. The driver’s blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.
As a result of the police investigation, Wesley J. CLARKE, of Adelaide-Metcalfe, ON, has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).
The accused’s vehicle has been seized for 7 days and his Driver’s Licence has been suspended for 90 days.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on September 25, 2017.
