On February 15, 2014 Barrie Police Service executed a warrant in an apartment complex located at 37 Johnson Street in the City of Barrie. Police were investigating a matter involving a 49 year old Barrie male. After depleting all investigative measures to contact the male, police investigation revealed potential concern for the well-being of the male.
The warrant was executed and the male was located deceased.
The Special Investigation Unit known as SIU was contacted regarding the matter and advised they would not be invoking an investigation as this matter was not within their mandate.
There are no public safety concerns.
