Barrie Police Service received a tip about a wanted party at a Blake Street Plaza. As an officer arrived, the 45 year old Barrie man was departing a retail store. The officer arrested the accused for the outstanding warrant for the offences of Uttering Threat, Assault, Mischief, Failing to Attend Court, Fail to Comply with Probation and an Undertaking. These offences occurred in October. A few minutes later, an employee stepped out and told police the accused was just observed on video shoplifting from the store. The officer searched the accused and several store items were located concealed on him. The accused was advised that he would also be charged with Theft. He was held for bail.
