(North Glengarry) – SD&G OPP officers continue their investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle which occurred today (18Sep14) at approximately 9:40am at the intersection of County Road 20 and the Highland Road eastbound off-ramp interchange of Highway 417, North Glengarry Township.
A Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Sylvain COULOMBE (38) of St-Eugene-Guigues, Quebec was southbound on County Road 20 on the overpass when it collided with a Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by a 77 year old female from Gatineau, Quebec. The Cavalier was entering County Road 20 from the eastbound off-ramp of Highway 417. COULOMBE sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
SD&G OPP officers, assisted by OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators continue their investigation. The roadways affected in the closures have now re-opened.
