(South Stormont) – On September 18, 2014, SD&G OPP charged the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian which occurred on September 8, 2014 at approximately 10:30am on County Road 2, South Stormont Township.
A Dodge pick-up truck, driven by Donald MACALLISTER (80) of South Stormont was westbound on County Road 2 when it collided with a heavy equipment flatbed trailer which was stationary on the north shoulder of the roadway. Allan ROBINSON (55) of South Stormont, who was standing near the trailer, was also struck. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
MACALLISTER is charged with;
– Careless Driving
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 14, 2014.
