(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment continues to investigate a single motor vehicle collision at a Kohler Road, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Monday June 22nd, 2015 at approximately 9:45 am a grey 2011 Chevrolet vehicle was travelling along the Kohler Road near Irish Line when it left the roadway and struck a tree. As a result of the collision the driver of the vehicle 51 year old Larry WOLFE of Haldimand County, ON suffered serious non – life threatening injuries. He received emergency medical aid before being transported to hospital by Haldimand County paramedics.
While awaiting Emergency Services to arrive two other vehicles stopped to check the driver. While consoling the driver, a fire broke out in the vehicle which prompted the citizens to act quickly and remove the injured driver preventing further injury. A fire extinguisher was then used by a citizen to extinguish the fire.
