(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On February 11, 2014 at approximately 12:25 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 400 when they observed a vehicle travelling over the posted speed limit. Through further investigation at the side of the road, it was revealed that the driver was under two Highway Traffic Act (HTA) suspensions.
Collins DAKO, 28 years of age from Mississauga, was charged with the following HTA offences:
– Driving while under suspension – 2 counts
– Speeding over the posted limit
– Class G1 licence holder – drive on prohibited Highway
– Class G1 licence holder – drive at unlawful hour
The accused will appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Parry Sound on March 18, 2014.
The vehicle used in the offence was impounded for 7 days.
