VEHICLE OF MISSING MAN LOCATED

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) are conducting a search in the Gordon Lake Road area after hunters located the vehicle of a man reported missing from Winnipeg on September 27, 2014.

The OPP have been assisting the Winnipeg Police Service in the search for 61 year old Brian HURST. HURST was last seen leaving his residence in Winnipeg on September 27, 2014 and was believed to be travelling to the Kenora area at that time.

On Tuesday October 7, 2014 shortly before 8:00 pm, the OPP were notified that some hunters had located HURST’S 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport on a trail in the Gordon Lake Rd area. The vehicle was locked and undamaged. The Northwest Region ERT team is conducting a search of the surrounding area in an attempt to locate HURST.

Members of the public should be aware of the fact that police will be in the area, both in the woods and on the roads.
