(HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – The initial report received by the Northumberland OPP was based upon information provided from Durham Regional Police regarding an erratic driver eastbound on the 401. As the vehicle entered into the Northumberland OPP area additional calls were received by the Provincial Communications Centre from concerned motorists regarding the driving manoeuvers of the Mazda.
As a result of the observations from witnesses, Cobourg Police Service (CPS), Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine (K9) members were on scene to assist with the investigation resulting in the arrest of the accused.
