(SMOOTH ROCK FALLS, ON) – On May 10, 2015, at around 4:00 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) helicopter and members of the North East Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) located the deceased body of 42 year old Paul SACKANEY in a wooded area in Smooth Rock Falls.
OPP members of the Smooth Rock Falls Detachment, North East Region OPP ERT members, the OPP helicopter, the North East Region OPP K9, and members of the OPP Provincial Liaison Team (PLT) conducted an extensive air and ground search over the past two days.
The Smooth Rock Falls Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Support Unit (FISU) are continuing with the investigation however foul play is not suspected. A post mortem will be scheduled in the coming days.
