Update: Deceased Identified, Alan AITKEN Faces Charges

(GLENCOE, ON) Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Glencoe Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to an occurrence on Main Street in Glencoe which involved a motor vehicle and a moped. This incident occurred at 12:46 p.m. on August 22, 2013 and resulted in two females being injured and transported to hospital.

The first victim, Kandice HAGLE, 44 years-old from Middlesex County died in hospital shortly after the incident.

The second victim, a 44 year-old female was admitted to hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The OPP is not releasing the name of this victim in order to protect her identity.

The Middlesex OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) has charged Alan AITKEN, 73 years-old, from London Ontario with:

Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death – Section 249(4) C.C.

Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm – Section 249(3) C.C.

The investigation is continuing.
