(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Shortly before 6:30 am on July 3rd, 2014 members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a residence on the 200 block of Third Street East at the request of Kenora Ambulance Dispatch.
Officers arrived and assisted ambulance with a female that was in medical distress. The female was transported to LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances where she was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as 58 year old female June Whalen of Fort Frances.
An investigation including a post mortem examination was completed and the cause of death was determined to be non-suspicious in nature.
